Case Understanding CASE UNDERSTANDING This case is generally a startup of daily need delivery product and this startup is start with minimum capital of 15lakh Basically DND provide a daily use product to customer through a online. This is App-based ordering system where the customer easily orders the product they will receive in given time and customer use the monthly subscribe which help to payment in monthly basis this app is feature of wallet payment and BHIM UPI for recharge the wallet. In starting the DND capture only three cities Bengaluru,Delhi and Hyderabad and they offer only three product in starting (milk, curd, paneer ) and all these product are perishable in nature it means product are spoil quickly i.e. organization use proper ventilation or freezers for product or deliver the product at time. delivery of will start @5AM to 8AM till the morning.organisation have local delivery partner to deliver the product and 80 people in the team .after sometime the organization face a problem related to missing deliveries and delivery partner don’t report to duty in early morning for this deliveries get affected in certain areas ,it cause the loss on business and customer are giving feedback of receiving wrong product or missing product and also complaints of foul smell and bad taste of product .DND will not work in dense area their foe the customer are uninstalling the app and claim for refund of wallet recharge. All these things I understand in particular case study and try to solve this entire problem with the help of knowledge and understanding.
BCS Solution Summary                                          Problem Related To the Sales and Marketing. Missing Deliveries: It means delivery product will not received not by the customer or wrong product will receive due to unmangement of product and staff. Delivery Partner Suddenly Don’t Report To Duty In The Morning And Deliveries On Their Get Affected: Delivery boy don’t report in early morning this cause a loss of profit  and customer are unsatisfied because they don’t get their product in early morning .This situation cause because  delivery boy feel  laziness in morning or report late. Deliveries of Wrong Product: This problem related to delivery of wrong product to the customer this problem arises because improper management of product or product will not check before the delivery. Missing Product: It means the customer will not received the particular product which they order from the App or sometime they received wrong product like customer order curd or they received milk behalf of curd. Complaints Regarding Foul Smell And Bad Taste: This problem is related to the foul smell and bad taste of product it cause because we offer the perishable product (milk,curd,paneer) and all these product are spoil quickly so  all those product release  smell and bad in taste. Perishable Nature Of Product: The product which we will offer to the customer are perishable in nature it means spoil quickly or release smell and bad in taste after in 1-2 days .So we deliver the product in minimum time it help to satisfy the customer according their need and want . Firms Are Not Able To Create Brand Awareness: Organization  is unable to create Brand awareness because they are not doing the proper  advertisement this cause customer are unawareness to the particular  organization.Beacuse advertisement play very crucial role to create brand awareness.  Fail to Create Demand: Due to improper advertisement firm are fail to create the demand of this services in market and they are unable to feel and need of this services in customer mind. Problem of Fund: Organization is face problem of minimum funds i.e. they are not doing proper Advertising and don’t create demand in market and customer mind .it cause a loss and taken more time to expand our business. Organization Is Hesitating to Start Services in Non-Dense Areas: Organization is unable to start services in dense area because route is not clearly defines and it takes lot of time to capture the area and also face problem of network to operate APP.   • SOLUTION OF THESE PROBLEMS

 

  1. Missing Deliveries: To control this thing we have taking a receiving receipt from deliveries boys (when they taking a product from delivery) this help to overcome this situation of missing deliveries, and we also taking a payment receipt from the delivery boys.
  1. Partner Suddenly Don’t Report To Duty in the Morning and Deliveries on Their Get Affected: For this we have to take strict action for overcome this situation like we cut down the salary of deliveries boys or giving instruction to their particular delivers partner or warning of (Break out the tie-ups) .For this fear they take action towards their staff and I think this helps us to resolve the problem.
  1. Deliveries of Wrong Product: To solve this problem we   check the product carefully before deliveries the product to customer, or we make a individually team for checking the product before the deliveries .It is very time consuming process but we do it for our customer satisfaction and goodwill of firm.
  1. Missing Product: This problem causes an unsastisfaction in consumer mind and we face a problem of loss so. we have to work on management  of product and also customer have to direct order from dairy or bakery and also management  work on the product  which we deliver to customer is delivered or not or product will right or not.
  1. Complaints Regarding Foul Smell and Bad Taste: So to resolve this problem we have take care of products and proper ventilation to the products and use freezers to procure the products because these products are perishable in nature.
  1. Perishable Nature Of Product: Our firm offering perishable product to the consumer and perishable products are spoilage easily so we take care of that things and use proper ventilation system and freezers and also try to deliver the product timely so the product don’t smell and bad in taste.
  1. Firms Are Not Able To Create Brand Awareness: firm are not create brand awareness its means advertising of brand will not done in proper that’s why we face a problem of unawareness of product. So for this problem firm will spent lots of funds in advertising of brand through this will help to easily sell the product and customer are more aware about upcoming products
  1. Fail to Create Demand: Firm is not doing advertising properly therefore they are not able to create demand of this service. Its take lots of efforts to advertise the brand or this services because there are many competitors in market. And also firm fail to feel the need of this service, when they are create the need of this services like (time save and healthy product with minimum time and proper hygiene products) then they feel and think about the services.
  1. Problem Of Fund: In starting of any startup the problem will faced by every firm because no one ready to invest money on startup because they feel the loss in startup (Banks ,money Landers ,investors).So to avoid the problems of funds firms will contact with government because this time gov will help new startup with their scheme(MUDRA YOJNA).
  1. Organization Is Hesitating To Start Services In Non-Dense Areas: organization is hesitate because in dense area network problem and also the problem to find the route of delivery the product because Google maps also don’t show the route on dense area because network problems and also route are not cleared define therefore delivery boy face the problem to deliver the product and also customer face the problem to receiving the product in not given time .But we resolve this problem to recruit the local boys for the dense area because they easily get the route of areas where maps are not able to locate the exact location.

2. Prepare the marketing plan for the next financial year

As a marketing manager my responsibility is to make good plan for next financial year for our business which is effectively help us to expand our business and aware public about our business through advertising and we also provide different products in upcoming years through this we are given more product in single screen. As you all know that in starting we covering only three states, as more as our business expand we are covering  more areas and  cities through this we are connecting more people through this we are ready to generate good profit in upcoming years ....For Better elaboration I am using marketing mix element

  • 4.PROMOTION

 

 

1.PRODUCT: In starting we are proving only three products(milk,paneer,curd) as much as more our Business expand we are providing and faciliting different variety  of bakery product like (Bread,Butter,cookies,Biscuits,muffins,waffers ) etc.Result of doing this thing customer more satisfy when they getting daily uses product  in one place also helps to save time and choosing varieties of product. The product which are going to deliver to our customer its different feature and variety of products, durability and comparability.

2. PRICE: Pricing of product should be done on the basis of customer which type of customer will use our product and also depend on her income we are using effective method of pricing through this every customer has pay the amount which is not more not less it is equal for all (we are loyal toward our customer)   for pricing we are using 1. (Worth pricing is value based pricing) 2. (ODD pricing is different way of selecting price of product in odd numbers like 299 not 300)   it is directly click on human psychology, the price of product is 299 not 300.                              

   3. PLACE: As a marketing manager my duty is availability of product in warehouse should be is balanced not more not less according to the customer need and also focus Product assortment (placement) in which the producare going to deliver it is placed in particular place therefore delivery boy don't have any problem to identify the product and product will deliver at time.

4.PROMOTION: It is very important part of marketing to advertise our business through this our business are more aware to public and also in market,  advertising is very costly process because companies are hiring professional for the advertising and also use different mode of advertising like (NEWSPAPER,HOARDING,BANNER,TV,RADIO and also online through social media and pop-up ads) and most of the companies use celebrity endorsement for advertising once a advertising is doing in good way therefore half of the problems will solved and business run easily because customer are known to our product and easily purchase it because in advertising most of the information is given on that therefore it is easy to use them.

  • As a marketing manager my duty and responsibility to analysis our Business very effectively and efficiently to identify the various environmental factor which affect our business. So that we are going to analysis business with the help of PESTEL. A Pestel analysis is a framework or tool used by marketer to analysis and monitor the Macro-environmental (external marketing environmental) factor that have impact on an Organization. PESTEL Stand For (POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, TECHNOLOGICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND LEGAL).


1.POLITICAL: Political factor like(Ecological environmental issues, future legislation, regulatory bodies and process ,government policies,gov term and changes ,trading policies )etc.A all these factor are affect are business easily so we have to work according to the gov rules and regulation and various policies through these changes it is beneficial for both society as well as ours. Because it s necessary to follow the legal framework for Business.

 

2. ECONOMICAL: Economical  factors which affect our Business are (economic growth, interest rate ,exchange rate, inflation ,disposal income, wages rate, financing capabilities ).These are factor which affect our Business so we have to work according to these factors.

3. SOCIAL: Social analysis help to know about society taste and preferences through this we easily get the changes in taste and preferences and choices of product and which type of customer income level and many more things. some factor which affect are business is (lifestyle trends ,demographics ,consumer attitude and opinion ,media   views,Brand,Company,Technology image, consumer buying pattern, fashion and role models ,Advertising.) These are the factor which affects our business so we work according to society welfare and customer satisfactions.

 

 

4. TECHNOLOGICAL: Technology plays a very vital role in today organization because most of the organization is work only with the help of technological software and online working .so it is very important to work according to changes in technology because when we not adopt changes then we get failed in market. Technological factor are (licensing, patents, innovation potential, information and communication, maturity of technology, dependent technologies).So we have to work according to these factors.

 

 

5. ENVIRONMENTAL: Environmental factors are (decline of raw material, pollution and green house gas, promoting positive business ethics and sustanbility, reduction carbon foot print, climate and weather, geographical location). All theses environmental factor affect the Business so we work according to this parameter of environment which not affects the environment.

 

 

6. LEGAL: Legal factors Are (Healthy and safety, equal opportunity, Advertising standard, consumer law and rights, product labelling, labour laws). 1.Excutive summary: Our Organization isan Indian daily need delivery startup.DND uses An app-based ordering system ,where customer can order for their daily need &manage or subscribe for monthly deliveries ,mark dates where they don’t need delivery ,the app has the feature of wallet payment ,refers service to friends and family ,delivery calendar ,DND consumer app uses BHIM UPI For wallet recharge.DND has a presence in 3 cities as of 20 Feb. 2020.Their product delivery range has mainly 3 product(milk,paneer and curd).

 

2.company description: Basically our companies delivery the daily uses product like milk, curd, paneer.In starting we cover only three states after 2-3 year we are try to cover more cities and areas for expanding our business and also give different varieties of product to differentiate product to the customer through this we attract more customer. After three year we targeting more customer and more services provide to the customer.

3. Market analysis: After three year our aim is to generate more revenue and earn profit through analysis competitor strategies and plan so we have plan better than our competitors.

So for marketing we taking help of various mode of advertising like(TV,RADIO,CELEBRITY ENDORSMENT,POP-UP,AND SOCIAL MEDIA) .These methods helps us to expand and knowable in market and also help to increase sales because when customer are aware to our product and they have proper knowledge then they easy buy our product. In marketing we have to focused on every individual customer needs and try to satisfy them, (customer satisfaction ensure profitability today and in future as well.)

Conclusion CONCLUSION As a marketing manager I go though the case study and the conclusion of case is study is that we should work on the problem which will arise in organization. Basically we offer the perishable product to the customer so we have to aware about the customer or target customer of our services we will offer to the customer .Problem arises like bad taste and foul smell of product and wrong product delivered to the customer and sometime product will miss .so we have try to solve all these problem for that first we have to maintain proper decorum and also we focused on proper working of staff and management because when they both work properly then half of the problem will solved like when the staff check product before delivery therefore we don’t face the problem of missing or wrong product and for the bad taste and foul smell customer have to order direct from the dairy and we also use proper ventilation and freezers for the product .And delivery of product in dense area we have to contact with local delivery boys . Second part is related to the marketing plan for next year basically we try to expand our business through expanding products and capturing more area in upcoming year. In starting we offer only three products and covering few area but after sometime we go through more products and covering more area .For better explanation we are choosing marketing mix elements (product,price,place ,promotion ) in all those we are try to tell about upcoming products and place and advertising strategy .advertising is very important part of every organization due to help of advertising we easily capture market and also attracting more customer ,it easy to generate revenue and earn profit .And we also focused on various factor which affect our business like (POLITICAL,ECONOMICAL,SOCIAL,TECHNOLOGICAL,ENVIRONMENTAL,LEGAL).We work according to all these factor which affect our Business. At last conclusion of all over case study is that we work hard to solve the problem which will face by organization and for expanding our business.

Perishable products delivery esp for milk, has a fixed time slot between 6-8 AM, the problem here is not defined correctly considering the nature of the product. Shelf life of the product should be understood, explained clearly, packaging details are missing, milk business is not affected due to any external reasons unless there is less supply. Need more understanding of the product, supply chain, packaging and price.
