Formulation of the entire marketing IT strategy for the company

Case Understanding

PM Clean Air Solutions Private Limited (PMCASPL) was founded by Mr. Manoj Singh and Mr. Parth Mittal. A lot of work resulted in a working prototype of the product. They raised 200 million INR altogether, with 100 million coming from VCs and the remaining 100 million through a TV programme. As PMCASPL's consultants, we are tasked with offering recommendations about the company's production structure, the best geographical location for the production, and the most appropriate target segment, among other things. The consultancy's goal is to help PMCASPL break into the market and establish itself as a major player in the near future by providing a comprehensive solution and solid strategy.

BCS Solution Summary

Information technology lays out its strategies for using technology and infrastructure to help the company reach its goals. Plans are consistent with available means. There are also a number of novel ideas presented that might be included into the strategy to further improve the outcome. The PMCASPL IT department will aid the company's growth by offering a wide range of IT services such as evaluating data from various units and drawing conclusions on how to proceed with business. IT-employee policy, AI/ML integration, blockchain in AQMS, website/app development (Android/iOS), social media account management (technical side), ERP/ERP enterprise resource planning, cyber security, server system, IT communication, networking setup and management, hardware support, software support, cloud service, and backup system are all within the purview of the IT department. As a result, the IT department will offer technical assistance and creative ideas that add value to the company, allowing it to better carry out its commercial operations.

Solution

AQMS- mainstream software and updates/ bug fixes

The IT department will have to maintain the mainstream software needed for monitoring, managing, and suggesting combinations to improve air quality. Managing developers for working on the Software with its updates & bug fix. The future plan is to develop Software and a dashboard for commercial/ Industrial Use.

We plan to focus on the following features: -

  • Link app and compatible voice services.
  • displays - PM2.5, PM10, VOCs, NO2 - in real-time³
  • Filter-change indicator
  • Noise level sensor
  • Power consumption display
  • Quiet mode (less noise, less energy)

 

Data Farm

We need to have a small facility where we can store data generated by the device, which we can use to analyze the customer behavior and to gather information about the pollutants suspended out there in closed as well as the open environment.

 

AI and ML


Inclusion of AI-ML solution into our operations so that we may incur tangible benefits such as streamlined production process, reduced production issues, and improved customer experience.

 

Blockchain used in AQMS data

A decentralized system for managing data and transactions. Unlike the traditional way of sharing data through clouds in Web 2.0. Incorporating blockchain technology to secure and provide a safe data flow between the product and company. Blockchain helps make the data difficult to hack or change.

 

Big data analytics

The analytics team will perform the task of managing the data received from the product cohort based on that data, will give us insights about the pattern from data, and predict the future events based on current and historical data. With this, we may be able to provide a better value proposition to customers.

 

 

Chatbots development and deployment

Development and deployment of Chatbots, which the customers can leverage to solve minor issues encounter with the device.

 

IT Personnel Policy

The IT department will play a crucial role in establishing an IT user policy for the company's employees in order to protect user privacy and data and ensure that no data created within the company's facility leaves the facility.

Several vital policies will be

  • Policy for security incident response
  • Data encryption policy
  • Mobile device security policy
  • Identity theft prevention measures
  • Policy for disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Remote access policy

Other restrictions will prohibit the use of USB drives, personal laptops, and personal hard drives, prohibit the sharing of passwords, and monitor the security of laptops and desktops.

 

Developing Website

No business can thrive in the modern world without an internet presence. The IT staff will design the website. The website will be hosted mainly in English, but there will be an option to translate pages to the local language. The website will provide the company's address, available items, e-commerce, chatbots, and customer service details. The website will be dynamic so that it may be accessed from mobile devices.

With a well-designed, well-maintained website with a straightforward user interface, we may achieve a competitive advertising edge by enhancing our brand image and expanding our reach. This will allow us to create web leads and turn them into prospective clients. A website will instill a sense of confidence in customers, which will be bolstered by testimonials from other clients. In addition to providing textual instructions on how to use the hybrid product effectively, we will also give video material regarding the product's usage and inventive methods to employ it.

Developing Android and iOS apps

A specially designed app programmed to control the entire product and a dashboard to display real-time data captured by the device. The app will be integrated with AQMS. The application will be developed for both Android and iOS. An outstanding, devoted staff will manage the app, which features a simple design and a minimalistic UI for the best user experience.

 

Social Media handles (technical aspect)

Regarding the privacy and security of the social media handles, the IT department will manage the corresponding technical details. The analytics sub-department will also manage the social media platform-provided insights for social media handles.

 

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

A high level of integration should exist between the system and processes. To align the strategy for order reception, stock check, inventory management, financials, sales, HR, etc., we must subscribe to an ERP module, likely SAP. IT will aid in streamlining all other processes and provide numerous data sets to the Analytics department.

 

Data Trust – Cyber security

Cybersecurity is an essential concern in the modern corporate sector. No matter the size of a business, it is susceptible to cyberattacks in the present day. With such a tech-enabled PHYGITAL PRODUCT, we definitely need a Cyber security,  Team. We will install anti-virus and anti-ransomware (e.g., Sophos Intercept X) software and activate devices such as black boxes to secure the data. These protections have the ability to rescue the company. IT specialists will be instructed in the implementation of security measures and processes.

Server system

IT department will attempt to create a dedicated server room with a server expert whose responsibilities will include setting up a server, managing it, troubleshooting, configuring email exchange services, installing a firewall (e.g., Sophos's powerful firewall), and installing various server security systems. Also, to administer the server by establishing new users, assigning them business email addresses, and hosting websites on our server.

 

Communications in IT

There must be a means for individuals to connect and for information to flow freely. To do this, we will install Video conferencing area and numerous VOIP equipment. In addition, we will install a CCTV camera so the CTO may observe all work from a remote desktop.

 

Networking setup

Setting up the internal computer network with the aid of the server and attempting to integrate the PCs and laptops will be the primary responsibility of the IT department. They may also be responsible for managing remote desktop connections. To protect sensitive information, they must retain a crew that can diagnose the network, maintain the network, and shut down the web in the event of a cyberattack.

 

Hardware assistance

All hardware upgrades and modifications will be handled by the IT department, which will acquire and install the new gear. In addition, the IT staff will be responsible for repairing any equipment.

 

Software assistance

The IT department will handle all Software licensing, upgrading, and surveillance. After that, qualified IT specialists will oversee the installation and troubleshooting.

 

Backup system

We may replicate the data using backup solutions to prevent ransomware attacks. We may choose to incorporate BLACKBOX (product) for data backup.

 

Disaster Recovery Procedures

Cyberattacks are constantly developing. Once such a sophisticated assault causes the entire system to fail, there is no way to recover from it. This issue is particularly pertinent for freshly formed organizations. This assault may cause enormous losses for the business owing to system failure. We may implement disaster management and a comprehensive recovery system to prevent this.
