BCS Solution Summary

Studying the Air purifier market is the initial stage of problem-solving. Identifying the target segment and the reason for the need for an air purifier will help to create a proper marketing strategy & pitch. recommend the location to be at the border location of Delhi either in the state of Haryana or UP. These states share a border with Delhi and offer general incentives for investment (such as less-expensive land, stamp duty rebates, exemption from electricity charges, and low-interest loans) including administrative measures, such as 'single window' clearance for facilitation of approvals at one place or through one nodal agency. Define the Mission and Vision of the company and regular engagement with the head of the department and ground level employees will help in the long run. To build a name for the company in the air purifier industry, marketing, finance, and all other departments should collaborate.

Solution

Air Purifier Market:

The Indian air purifier market is expected to develop significantly in coming years owing to poor air quality in numerous sections of the nation, specifically northern India, during the winter season, which varies between "severe" and "extremely poor. The chances of increasing severity in patients infected by various severe diseases due to worsening air quality would further drive air purifiers.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the falling Air Quality Index and increased worry about the airborne disease in residential areas drove demand for air purifiers in the Indian market, particularly following the lockdown period. According to IQA Group data published in 2021, India accounted for 15 of the world's top 20 most polluted cities. The most significant sources of air pollution are vehicle exhaust, road and construction dust, industrial emissions, family cooking and heating, and open waste burning. Furthermore, the growth of airborne diseases and health disorders, such as bronchitis, asthma, acute headaches, and throat pains, is fuelling the country's demand for air purifiers.

Production Set up:

Registration of an Indian Entity-

A manufacturing facility may be set up by either a company or a partnership firm (including an LLP). A limited company (private or public) is still the most popular form of organisation for any manufacturing business. So, if PMCASPL is not yet adequately registered, we recommend completing the formality on priority.

Plant Location-

As a consultant, we recommend the company to set up a plant in the northern part of India. The plant's location is critical as it affects the distribution, labour, land, supply chain, etc. We recommend the site to be at the border location of Delhi, either in state of Haryana or UP. These states share a border with Delhi and offer general incentives for investment (such as less-expensive land, stamp duty rebates, exemption from electricity charges, and low-interest loans), including administrative measures, such as 'single window' clearance for facilitation of approvals at one place or through one nodal agency.

Industrial Land-

The most crucial part of establishing a plant is finding industrial plots and land with clear titles and sufficient access. It may result in a severe monetary loss if subsequent flaws in title or approvals that were to be obtained before entering the land or beginning building are discovered.

Pre-Construction Compliances-

Every factory in India must comply with the Factories Act, 1948 ("Factories Act"). an owner can register the factory online with the state government and request a license grant. It is essential to complete the land acquisition before applying. The company has to take formal approvals that are- building plan and site approval, procuring power and water connection, fire permissions, boilers and explosives-related permissions, building a sewage or effluent treatment plant, and receiving 'no-objection' from the pollution control board.

Strategy & Inter-Departmental Collaboration

For any successful company, inter-departmental collaboration & coordination is most important. Strategic planning is essential for PM Clean Air Solutions Private Limited to become a prominent player in the Air purifier Market.

Initially, focus on retail consumers (individual as well as corporates) and over time, focus on commercial consumers (big industries, government projects)

Mission Statement: To improve the quality of life of the people by providing people with clean and green air at affordable prices.

Vision: To drive the industry and emerge as the nation's most reputable and admired air purifier brand.

The main targeted customers of air purifiers are:

  • A family which consists of infants, small kids and young children.
  • Well-off families who are much concerned about their health. This also includes families where few family members are doctors.
  • People live near construction areas and dust affluent areas, near high traffic roads.
  • Those suffering from airborne diseases like asthma, bronchitis etc. and allergies from dust.
  • Businesses like hospitality (hotels, suites), daycares, hospitals, and malls.

The marketing and HR team will collaborate to decide on final hiring in the coming years with the finance department's support to drive profitability and market capture. Print marketing (usually only during the initial Phase), Digital Marketing (a recurring expense with decreasing coefficient) and high-quality customer service will drive the sale of our product. To provide high-quality service, we must provide a healthy environment for our employees. Concept of Friday Party- which includes me time session, learning sessions, creativity sessions, relaxation sessions, and hobbies sessions - this new initiative in the industry will be vital for retention and employee engagement. Collaboration & Co-ordination of Inter departments will be one thing the top management will monitor from time to time with regular meetings with Head of Departments and ground-level employees.

Conclusion
As head of leadership department, monitoring departmental collaboration and identifying issues and solving is critical for long run. Production set-up need to be done with complete compliance so has to avoid hurdle ahead. Mission & Vision of the company needs to be communicated to each and every employee. Marketing, Finance and all other department should work as a team to make company mark in the Air purifier industry.
