BCS Solution Summary

Step 1: Buying and setting up the IT systems and infrastructure Step 2: Calculation of the IT work would be on the basis of function point Step 3: We would be using agile scrum methodology and teams would be working in sprints Step 4: We would be using the Zoho platform for the CRM, Finances, Inventory management Marketing, and HR systems Step 5: We would be following the four stages of project management which include: ● Project Initiation ● Project Planning ● Project Managing ● Project Closeout

Solution

Step 1: IT Department would be a team of 10 members which consist of:

  • Manager
  • Assistant Manager
  • 2 Team Leads
  • Under team leads, there would be 3 software engineers

Step 2: Calculation of the IT work would be on the basis of function point which is a "unit of measurement" to express the amount of business functionality an information system provides to a user. Function points are used to compute a functional size measurement of software. The cost of a single unit is calculated from past projects

Step 3: We would be using agile scrum methodology and teams would be working in sprints, Sprint is a short, time-boxed period when a scrum team works to complete a set amount of work. Sprints are at the very heart of scrum and agile methodologies, and getting sprints right will help the agile team ship better software

Step 4: We would be using Zoho platform for the CRM, Finances, Inventory management, Marketing and HR systems. Zoho offers 50+ apps starting from CRM sales to Marketing automation till Creator builds a custom app. We would be using Zoho Creator, for the custom apps requirement and the web development

Step 5: We would be following the four stages of project management which include:

  • Project Initiation: Project Sponsor, Initial Funding Approval, Listing out the client's requirement
  • Project Planning: Project Manager, Work Plan, Designing
  • Project Managing: Status Tracking and Reporting, Phase Reviews, Testing, Cost Management, Risk Management
  • Project Closeout: Project acceptance, Implementation. Business Case Study, Outcomes Assessments and feedbacks
Conclusion
On the basis of the above solution, there would be a plan of increasing the IT team and along with the different locations in UAE by following the same plan given above and would also set up an IT professional training institute especially for this international expansion in future.
