Whatever you learn or experience practically during your course, Helps shape your personality, just like text books give you theoretical knowledge, internships gives you a chance to understand the functioning of a company etc. However there are two challenges here: First, all of these activities are like one way communication where you learn by observing, second, all of these activities restrict you to a closed group, for example: In a classroom you are limited to your classmates and the college faculty, then in an internship you are restricted to a single company and so on. In other words, you do not get exposure to a larger industry. By participating in National Management Olympiad, you get a chance to learn with people outside your closed group. Students from various colleges, faculty from various institutions, experts from various industries come together on a single platform for a common goal. Participation in this competition brings you in touch with interesting & curious people from different backgrounds and you engage in multi-way communication which result in enhancement of your business management acumen. you also get to understand your weaknesses and strengths more clearly.

Once you complete your registration you should attempt a qualifying round (Business case Solution OR Qualifying Quiz). The qualifying Round will only check your inclination towards management studies and if you qualify this Round, you can participate in the Main Quiz. Based on marks obtained during the main quiz, a department-wise merit list will be published. NMO’s logical algorithm create teams (virtual companies) from the merit list. Participant’s departments in the virtual company will be decided on the basis of your selection at the time of registration and your ranking in the merit list so that you can improve in the department in which you want to grow and which is best suited for your skillset. The important thing is that you choose and judge your own learning capabilities with others’ suggestions and reviews. National Management Olympiad is a completely online competition which enables its participants to learn life skills like heterogeneous team working, strategic thinking, time management & presentation skills. Format of NMO include Business Case scenario solution and Quizzes.

One day is not sufficient to provide a good learning experience, for this reason NMO is designed to provide maximum experience & learning chances despite limited engagement from participants. Participants will get to communicate their point of view, understand others point of view, learn from competition’s activities, and most importantly get a chance to implement their learnings. Let me explain by citing an example: suppose you are part of a NMO Virtual company, and given a business case scenario to solve, You worked for few hours and submitted your solution. Now your submission will be visible to faculty experts, industry experts, judges and all registered participants of NMO for voting and review. People will leave reviews on your solutions and discussion will happen on the same. This gives an enormous and different kind of learning with each passing day. Whatever you know, you write in exams anyways but here you will come to know what can be added and edited to your knowledge, how different approaches can be applied to solve the same problem. Due to all of the above reasons, this competition is divided into almost 2 month's time frame.

As we all know everyone has their own perspective and a prior knowledge for various subjects. we can learn quickly and more effectively by understanding the various aspects of the same problem. In National Management Olympiad Faculty experts from various colleges adds their perspectives and knowledge by which this competition becomes more and more enriched.
The most fundamental thing is that your intellect and perspectives will come to an open group from a closed group learning, enhancing your personality.

Winning becomes secondary when you participate in the national Management Olympiad. This competition focuses on your learning and helping you understand your strengths and areas of improvement, Qualifying quiz and Main quiz have multiple choice questions, but Business case scenario stage are voting based stages. All registered participants, faculty experts, Industry experts and judges will review the solutions submitted by different teams and cast their votes for solutions. Every vote will have a fixed weightage in form of Points, based on the votes, points will be given to virtual companies and the basis of these points, winners will be decided for each round. Voting ensures that every participant learn and participate in the competition. Even if you haven't been able to clear in the Qualifying OR Main Quiz you still have the right to vote and you can participate in intermediary quizzes, #NMOChallenge Competitions etc. to win exciting prizes & certificates. Let me tell you again winners will be winners because they have performed best on the day of competition but if anyone participated in competition wholeheartedly their learning will not be any less than winning team.
