BCS Solution SummaryAs a general manager of the company, I would suggest to first focus on target market so as to gauge more audience towards our side. Once the market has been penetrated, we can focus on product expansion so as to provide more varieties to the audience and last but not the least, creation in each operating city for smooth functioning of the company. Firstly, this will enable us to create more jobs in the market which will ultimately benefit the people and economy of the country will also rise and secondly, approach towards acquiring advanced technologies for production will lower down the cost of production and hence, benefit to the low income group people.
SolutionSynchronization among departments is essential. Each department should ensure that its efforts are aligned with the overall objective of the company-SELCO which is to be a market leader and provide affordable energy services to the people. The marketing department is responsible to create awareness of the brand among the people so as to reach the untapped audience. Financial department should look for free flow of funds so as to operate aggressively in the selected areas. Funds could be generated by endorsing the brand and by sponsorship. Also since the company has friendly relationship with banks, the company can opt for loans, if required. The profits generated by the company should be given to low income class people by taking less price from them for the offerings. Human resource Department is responsible to hire skilled personnel because human resources are the key to success for any company, hence imparting training to low skilled personnel is essential. The IT department should communicate the data to all the associated department heads so that they come to know about the kind of response they are getting and what all is required or left to do. The leadership department basically will direct all the departments to their respective goals so as to achieve the common goal of the firm. This could be done by frequent meetings among all the departments so as to know the progress in each case. The leader and his or her team will convert the blueprint of the plan and bridge the gap among the departments. Also there should be free flow of communication among all the departments which is the prime responsibility of the general manager. The general manager is responsible to see and manage the entire firm and suggest actions if and when required.
