As SELCO is planning to expand its reach to more consumers, proper and smart use of IT Resources to upscale the systems will be very important.

  • Use of Cloud Computing:

             As the company proposes to expand its reach to several geographical locations of India setting up technologies like cloud will be very important.

             Benefits:

               1. Less investment costs:

                The services are free from capital expenditure. Cloud computing is based on the ‘pay-as-you-go’ model. SELCO will benefit from it as it will have to pay only as per its needs.

                As the requirements of the customers may be highly fluctuating in the rural areas it will be highly beneficial to set up a cloud environment as it will enable SELCO to upscale or downscale as per the requirements.
