BCS Solution Summary

1. To start with the first action point should be to increase the market penetration of the existing products which comes under the sales expansion strategy. 2. Moreover it's a clean energy initiative so SELCO can get government's support. With that they can expand into other parts of the country along with the energy centers expansion. 3. Further more having being backed up by the government and making good profit they can move into the product line expansion by using the latest techniques of innovation.

Solution

Talking about the marketing side of the things, company has to first increase the market penetration as still 40 crore people are left to be benefitted by the soalr energy. Govt support would definitely make it easier as its a clean energy initiative. Once the market has been expanded to almost the whole country and simultaneously establishing the energy service centres. This would have been made possible because company is already doing good making average 20% profit year by year. Then they can expand to urban sectors making specific products using their latest innovation technologies. Coming to the finance side, they can charge urban customers more and rural customers less to compensate for the losses. Trust and responsibility is maintained by employing the rural youth. This project is directly empowering the youth by making them self dependent. Also SELCO can give energy loans to SMEs and earn interest from them to increase cash infliow. That creates a sustainable business model.
