 Daily Needs Delivery (DND) a startup founded by Sam Malhotra and Rajish Gupta in 2017 as an Indian daily need product deliveries. In the initial year of startup DND used to deliver milk, paneer and curd in three states Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore between 5 AM to 8 AM.  DND is a total app based delivery system where customers can • Manage or subscribe for monthly deliveries • Mark dates where they don't need delivery • Wallet payment • Refer services to friends and family • Delivery calendar • BHIM UPI for wallet recharge  Basic issues face by DND • Missing deliveries • Delivery of wrong products • Delivery partners not turning up • Inactive installed app • Bad feedback mechanism • Perishable nature of products • Operations not started in non dense areas

  1. Login panel for delivery boy

As DND is facing problem of not reporting Delivery partners on time we can have a login panel for our delivery boys in which they have to login with their Id or Mobile No. which will work as bio-metric verification.

Under login panel, delivery boy has to provide their Id and then they will get verification code on their registered number which they have to enter in login panel to get verified.

To get verified, they will get half an hour in the early morning (5:00 AM to 5:30 AM) after which they will not get any verification code and will be mark as absent and also delivery boy has to be in the range of 500 m from the point of pickup of the products.

From this we will get information about our delivery boys that who all are present on that day and plan accordingly. For ex. if a person is absent we can assign his duty to any other person and the other person will get appreciation accordingly. And the person who is absent, will not salary of that day.

 

           2.  Location Based App System

This system is based on GPRS tracking. Under this every delivery boy has to enable his live location through which costumer can track the delivery partner’s location and also it will help us to verify that our delivery boy went that location or not (if there is a complain of missing product) and we can answer our costumer with proof. This feature will help the costumer to know about delivery boy that till how much time delivery boy will reach us.

 

       3.  Inactive installed app

DND is facing problem of inactive apps. Apps are getting installed but are not active. For this we have promos and cash back offers (on monthly basis) for our users/costumers which will make them to use our app on regular basis. As it’s a human psychology that human get attract towards offers frequently.

 

        4.  Two way pin verification

This is a method which will confirm the delivery of product from both sides i.e. from costumer side as well as from delivery boy side.

It will work as the delivery boy reach the costumer, both will get the OTP (One Time Password) which they have to enter under our app to confirm the delivery of product. And this step will act simultaneously. After which no costumer can complain about the missing product.

Also once the delivery is confirmed then costumer will get a notification of delivered product with details.

 

        5.  Regular Updates for Costumers and Delivery Partner details

As told above that if any delivery boy is absent then his duty will be assign to other person. So to make our costumer aware about the same we will made regular updates for both the people (costumer as well as delivery partner)

 

        6.  Chat bots for Feedback

On our app we will provide a chat bot under which costumer can provide a feedback about our delivery boy, product, or anything they want from us as a costumer. This will help us to know costumer better and will decrease the negative feedbacks.

 

       7.  Rating Interface

As I have mention above “Two Way Pin Verification”, once the verification is done costumer will get a top up page in which he will able to rate our delivery boy according to his nature, behavior, type of delivery he has made, etc. From which we can appreciate the highest rating delivery boy on weekly basis, which will motivate them to do work sincerely and effectively.

 

         8.   Order detail displayed with images for delivery partners

To overcome the problem of wrong deliveries, we can have a proper detail of our costumer with their order details which will help our delivery boy to deliver a right product at right place.

 

       9.  Hub and Spoke Delivery System to address non dense areas

A hub and spoke network is a centralized, integrated logistics system designed to keep costs down. Hub and spoke distribution centers receive products from many different origins, consolidate the products, and send them directly to destinations. Through this we can collect the order from non-dense area and can deliver it accordingly.

 

      10.  Order Replace option

We have mentioned many precautions to avoid replacement of any product. But let assume that by mistake if any product which is delivered is wrong or perish, then costumer can complain for same within 1(one) hour of delivery to get replaced the wrong or perished product with the right or fresh product.
